2003 Pouilly-Fuisée Les Brûlés, Château Fuissé

I bought a mixed case recently with some (hopefully) mature wines for near terrm consumption. This was a single bottle, and as it turned out, a really good bottle of mature Burgundy.

The nose is open for business, with lovely mature features in the shape of dried peaches, melted butter, dry fudge, lots of wet slate and a fine smokiness. A fine depth. Perfectly mature and shows a nice refinement. Really good.
The taste is a bit tighter than the nose with notes of spicy white peaches, sour/sweet lemons, fudge, slate and summer flowers. A long, focused finish with a refreshing acidity. Very, very good. A fine mouthfeel. Drinking perfectly now but will keep for 3+ years.
