2013 Barolo Massara, Castello di Verduno

2013 Barolo Massara, Castello di Verduno
Massara is a 50,3 ha big MGA in Verduno. There are only two cantinas that makes a Barolo from Massara - Gian Carlo Burlotto and Castello di Verduno.
The nose is deep and somewhat mature with notes of dried cherries, forest floor, rosehips and sugared coffee. Very, very good.
The taste is velvety and fine with notes of violets, mushrooms, coffee and dried flowers. A long, warm finish. A 13 that is ready to drink. Bought at the cantina when we visited in 2019 - Barolista: The Barolo Boys In Piedmont - Visits To Giovanni Rosso & Castello Di Verduno
