A Bottle Of Bubbly - 2008 Blanc de Blancs, Michel Turgy

The sun is shining and I'm still on vacation - why not open a bottle of bubbly?
Then I need to find something nice to open to go along the grilled burgers tonight. Cabernet, Syrah, Granatxa or...?

2008 Blanc de Blancs, Michel Turgy
Another fine 2008. The nose is young, finely tuned although rather open, with notes of smoke, yellow pears, lily of the valley, butter cookies and dried up Calvados. Very, very good. Deep and fine.
The taste is young and tight with notes of crumbled butter cookies, yellow apples, white currants and sweet minerals. A high, fine acidity. Long. This will need some years in the cellar.
