2012 Barolo Cannubi, Fratelli Serio & Battista Borgogno
This is a fine old school Barolo with a young, pure nose with notes of ripe lingonberries, paint, rosehips, forest floor and dry licorice. A fine warmth. Very, very good.
The taste is even better with a racy structure and notes of dried strawberries, mushrooms, band aid and earth. A long finish with taut tannins. Like chewing on a peach kernel. Really fine. Give this 6+ years in the cellar. 91p (tasted 2019/02)
