2016 Barolo Brunate, M. Marengo
A deep, tight nose with notes of dark cherries, violets, licorice and some light meaty notes. Still young and very focused.
The taste is seedy and fine with salty tannins, lots of cherry pips and a long, broad finish. This will need 8+ years in the cellar.
