2022 Hohen-Sülzen Spätburgunder Alte Reben 1G, Battenfeld Spanier
When in Germany - a deep, lightly meaty nose with notes of licorice, herbs, fir wood, red beets and (over)ripe strawberries. Very, very good.
The taste is more tight than the nose indicates, with notes of Asian spices, dried strawberries, earth and a fine balsamic note. Still young.
