Serena invited me to the cantina last year but then I couldn´t make it, but this year a visit was on top of my list. I had a great talk with Serena about the wine scene in Novello and her and her mothers fine wines.
2024 Langhe Nas-Cetta
An open, juicy nose with notes of grey pears, chives and gravel. Very, very good.
The taste is pure and fresh with a good acidity and notes of chrushed rocks, white pepper and pears.

NV Goi
A spicy, forward nose with notes of apricots, orange peel and moist earth. Lovely.
The taste is silky and layered with notes of blood orange, grass and chalk. A very fine, high acidity.

NV Vino Bianco Farinela
90% Nas-Cetta and 10% Nebbiolo. The nose is round and intense with notes of oranges, white flowers and white currants. Very fine.
The taste is structured and fine with beautiful yellow fruit, a fine acidity and even some hints of Nebbiolo tannins in the finish.

2024 Dolcetto d`Alba Tunen
From 90 years old vines, this Dolcetto sports a fine, iron filled nose with notes of damsons and bakelite.
Very, very good.
The taste is young and tight with notes of blueberries, asphalt and graphite. Polished tannins.

2024 Barbera d´Alba Fiorina
A deep, warm nose with notes of red tea, raspberry licorice and fir wood.
The taste is warm and spicy with a good acidity and notes of dried raspberries, bonfire smoke and hot earth.

2024 Nebbiolo d´Alba Giacu
A stony nose with notes of ripe cherries, wet asphalt and rosehips. Very, very good.
The taste is tight and fine with seedy cherry fruit, silky tannins and a long, fresh finish.

2022 Barolo Cerviano-Merli
A high, refined nose with notes of dried strawberries, Langhe earth and dried flowers. A low keyed intensity. Very fine.
The taste is layered and elegant with very fine tannins, beautiful red cherry fruit and a long, long finish. 5+ years.
