2014 El Terroir, Domaines Lupier
This 100% old vines Garnacha (planted in 1903) displays an open, large-scaled nose with notes of chrushed raspberries and blackberries, warm herbs, old leather, sun warm rocks and a hint of band aid. A nice complexity.
The taste is taut and direct with a very fine balance between the red fruit, acidity and rugged tannins. A fine mix of red and black fruit. A very good cool warmth at the end. Drinking great today and the coming 5+ years.
