Some Wines At Leijontornet

I tasted these wines recently at Leijontornet, IMHO the best restaurant in Stockholm (and yes, I have been to Frantzen).

2023 Fontaine, Château La Yotte
A nice, dark nose with notes of tobacco, ripe plums and graphite. Some oak notes.
The taste is tight and rugged with some warmth and a nice black fruit. A tad foursquare on the finish.
86p   (tasted 2025/10)

2023 Grand Vin, Château La Yotte
A deep, structured nose with notes of ripe black currants, leather and a healthy dose of new oak.
The taste is taut and broad with notes of scorched earth, black currants and iron. A fine balance.
89p   (tasted 2025/10)

2018 Brunello di Montalcino, Ciacci Piccolomini d´Aragona
A elegant, handsome nose with notes of ripe black cherries, herbs, tobacco and Zegna leather. Very fine.
The taste is layered and sweet with a lovely red/black fruit, silky tannins and a long, warm finish.
92p   (tasted 2025/10)

2020 Barbaresco Ronchi, Albino Rocca
A refined, focused nose with notes of sweet lingonberries, cigarette smoke and Langhe earth.
The taste is young and brimming with energy and gorgeous fruit in the shape of red cherries and currants. A touch of menthol in the finish, which is long and polished. Great wine.
94p   (tasted 2025/10)
