1964 & 1967 Barolo, Franco Fiorina

1964 Barolo, Franco Fiorina
A deep, finely balanced nose with gorgeous maturity in the shape of dried strawberries, tiles, orange peel and vintage leather. Very, very good.
The taste is soft and cool with notes of red currants, cold coffee, paint and leather. There is still some sweetness in the fruit. Not the best 64 Fiorina I have tasted but a really good drink.

1967 Barolo, Franco Fiorina
Second bottle of 67 Fiorina tasted recently and this was by a small margin the better. The nose is deep, earthy and dried up with notes of molasses, candle grease and bonfire smoke.
The taste is warm, structured, a tad dry in the middle, medium long, still going strong but a bit burly.
