Getting Ready For Tomorrow - 1993 Rüdesheim Berg Schlossberg, Breuer

I am invited to a lunch tasting tomorrow with wines from Georg Breuer. Theresa Breuer will be presenting the 2011 vintage of the vineyard wines and some other bottles from the estate.
VinUnic is inviting.

I opened this bottle as a prewine before this Brunello tasting. As usual, I saved some in one of those handy 10 cl bottles, and finished it today while preparing sunday lunch. Fresh as a daisy!

1993 Rüdesheim Berg Schlossberg, Georg Breuer
A mature, stony, racy nose with notes of dried tropical fruits, cap gun smoke, dried honey, some fine rubbery notes and a whole petrol station. Very interesting. Fully mature but not at the least tired.
The taste is tight, fresh and rather elegant with notes of dried peaches and pineapple, lemon peel, crushed oyster shells and lots of slate. Long and fine. This is drinking really well at this stage. Should keep for 5+ years but wont get any better.
