Barbaresco with the sage that was fried in lots of butter and then spooned over home made gnoochis with pancetta... |
The summer vacation is almost at an end, time to open a final bottle. This youngster needs some time in the glas to open up to a delicate nose with notes of cranberries, sweet lingonberries, shoe polish, roses and a hint of cigarette ash. Not that deep but very charming.
The taste is still young and tight with perky tannins and notes of rowanberries, dry licorice, gravel and dried flowers. Medium long and finely balanced. 4+ years but easy to drink today.
