2011 Château Potensac
Another bottle from my recent foray in
the world of Potensac. The nose jumps out of the glass with perky notes of ripe black currants, plums, fried thyme and hints of melted asphalt. New leather. A fine sweetness to the fruit.
The taste is upfront, juicy and sandy with notes of plums, sweet tobacco, bakelite and hints of green leaves, that adds to the complexity. A tad short though. Very, very good. Should be drunk over the next 6 years.
Something else from
2011...
89p (tasted 2019/12)
