2011 Barolo Riserva Arborina, Marco Curto
A deep, intense, mature nose with notes of sweet/sour strawberries, dried flowers, freshly polished mahogany, red beets and black tea. Very complex and fine.
The taste is velvety and handsome with notes of dried strawberries, salmiak, rosehips and ceps. A long finish with rounded tannins and a fine acidity. In a perfect drinking stage.
Notes from my visit to Nadia in 2022 - Barolista: A Couple Of Days in Piedmont - Visit To Alessandria Crissanti & Marco Curto.
94p (tasted 2024/10)
