2001 Brunello Di Montalcino Vigna Delle Raunate, Mocali
Friday dinner, with some succulent lamp chops, this Brunello delivers the goods. The nose is deep, warm and comforting with notes of black cherries, candle grease, shoe polish, figs and sweet violets. A very fine, low keyd sweetnees to the fruit.
The taste is fine, warm and structured with notes of cherry licorice, cold coffee, iodine and dried rosemary. Long, with a fine warmth. Very, very good.
