2001 Château Citran
2001 Château Citran
The 01opens, as usual with a semi old Bordeaux, a bit funky but that soon disappears and then it displays a classic left bank nose with notes of fresh stables, red and black currants, cold coffee, leather and some hints of dog fur. A fine maturity. Very good.
The taste is mature, soft and dry with notes of bakelite, dried black curants, bonfire smoke and ski wax. Nicely integrated tannins. Medium long. Very, very good.
89p (2019/10)
