Vacation Wines - 1998 Barolo, Schiavenza
1998 Barolo, Schiavenza
This 21 year old Barolo offers up - after one hour in the decanter - fine notes of scorched earth, red beets, sun warm asphalt, dried cherries and old paint. Mature and fine.
The taste is warm, steady and rich with notes of cooked cherries, tobacco, root vegetables and cold sugared coffee. There are still some tannins in the long finish. Very, very good. 90p (tasted 2019/07)
