1989 Château Labérgorce Zédé
A perfectly mature Bordeaux is hard to beat (even if a perfectly mature Barolo does that). This 34 year old Margaux offers up a deep, smooth nose with gorgeous notes of chewing tobacco, dried up black currant jam, sugared coffee and a forest full of autumn leaves and moist undergrowth.
The taste is medium bodied and velvety with notes of black currant leaves, tomato paste, dried meat, forest floor and cigarr. A very fine, lingering finish. Drinking perfect now.
