2015 Chianti Classico, Quercia Al Poggio
A tasting sample from Valid Wines.
2015 Chianti Classico, Quercia Al Poggio
This Chianti consists mostly of Sangviose but local grapes Ciligeiolo, Canaiolo and Colorino are also a part of the blend. The nose is at first rather shy but with some time aromas of sweet/sour cherries, almond paste, rosemary and Tuscan gravel arises from the glass. Very nice.
The taste is medium bodied and finely tuned with fine cherry, licorice, herbs and gravel flavours. A fine dryness at the end. Very, very good. Drink now and the coming 5+ years.
