2014 Pinot Noir "B", Friedrich Becker
An open, light meaty nose with notes of ripe strawberries, fried herbs, detergent, rhubarb and a damp forest floor. A fine sweetness to the fruit. Very, very good.
The taste is silky and sandy with notes of red currants, rhubarb, violets and dry smoke. The acicity lies a bit on the side. A dry finish. Better on the nose. Highly drinkable with a chicken pasta.

"Very, very good" and 87 points???
ReplyDeleteOn the nose. Not on the palate. The score is the sum of both.
