1977 Château Coutet
Broadbent on the 77 Sauternes vintage - "poor crop, poor wines". But as always, the proof is in the bottle.
The nose is deep, gorgeously mature with notes of detergent, dried mango, wet hay and orange peel.
The taste is medium bodied and elegant with notes of band aid, moist earth and candied orange peel. Ends on a semi dry note. A lovely drink.
