2007 Barolo Ciabot Mentin, Domenico Clerico

A very deep, warm, mature nose with notes of Finnish licorice, cooked cherries, warm tiles and a hint of chocolate biscuits. Very fine.

The taste is structured and concentrated with warm cherry fruit, soft tannins and a long, long layered finish. On top of its game.

This bottle didn´t make the cut for the Ciabot Mentin tasting I arranged recently - Barolista: 1989 - 2015 Barolo Ciabot Mentin Ginestra, Domenico Clerico - but it clearly hold its own.
