2002 Brauneberger Juffer-Sonnenuhr Riesling Auslese Goldcap Fuder No 9, Fritz Haag
A beautifully restrained, complex nose with notes of nettles, wet asphalt, birch sap and a hint of saffron. Very fine and still very young.
The taste is pure and almost electric with a very fine acidity and notes of smoke, white peach, hay and lemon cream. A 24 year old wine that feels like a 10 year old. Stunning. 10+ years.
