Elke Jung arrange once a month a tasting of wines that are to be released on the state monopoly. As usual a lot of wines to taste.
Below are the reds I looked forward to taste.

2024 Côtes-du-Rhône Vieilles Vignes, Domaine Font de Courtedune
A
fine, barnyardy nose with notes of assorted red fruits and some peppery notes.
The
taste is straight forward and juicy with good fruit and a dark flowery note.

A
low keyed, spicy nose with fir wood, lavender soap and burnt rubber. Very, very
good.
The
taste is fresh and fine with crisp tannins and very good red fruit. Very much wine for the money.

2024 Crozes-Hermitage Les Coulaires, Domaine Vendôme
A
deep, plummy nose with notes of bonfire smoke, sweet violets and diesel oil.
Very fine.
The
taste is open and juicy with silky tannins and a very fine peppery black fruit. A must buy.

cherries and tobacco. Long and fine. A fine, mature Barolo that can be bought for a song.

A
very deep, gorgeous nose with notes of dried cherries, Langhe earth, mushrooms
and warm tiles. Lovely.
The
taste is taut and intense with stunning fruit, immense tannins and a length
counted in minutes. Great wine.
