A Dolcetto Trio - Giuseppe Mascarello, Elio Altare & Massolino

2017 Dolcetto d´Alba Vigna Bricco Mirasole, Giuseppe Mascarello
A high strung, backward nose with notes of barnyard, rhubarb, glue and balsamico marinated strawberries. Very interesting.
The taste is seedy and fine with notes of dried strawberries, balsa wood and moist earth. Idiosyncratic. A very good balance. Finely tuned tannins. Very fine.

2017 Dolcetto d´Alba, Elio Altare
A young, sporty nose with notes of cool blueberries, damsons and asphalt. Very pure and fine.
The taste is tight and fine with notes of dry blueberry pie, chalk, tiles and fresh herbs. Juicy tannins. This needs 1-2 years in the cellar.

2017 Dolcetto d´Alba, Massolino
A cool sandy nose with notes of chrushed rocks, black currants, dry licorice and herbs. Earthy and fine.
The taste is tight and dry with notes of finely polished tannins, dry blueberry fruit and lots of stony notes. Long. Needs time. Very, very good.
