1997 Profile, Merryvale

1997 Profile, Merryvale

I last tasted this beauty six years ago. The bottle tonight had maybe matured a bit but not much, so owners of any bottles (I don´t have any left) can look forward to 10+ years of prime time drinking.

The nose is deep, perfumed and lovely with notes of ripe blac currants, dark chocolate, mahogany and expensive tobacco. Very, very fine.

The taste is ripe and concentrated with velvety tannins and sweet black currant fruit alongisde notes of warm tiles, chocolate biscuits and graphite. Very, very long. Drinking beautifully.
