2010 Barolo Ascheri, Ascheri

2010 Barolo Ascheri, Ascheri
This 11 year old Barolo needed some hours in the decanter to open, with to a deep, focused nose with lovely notes of sweet/sour cherries, rosehips, saw dust, violet licorice, hoisin sauce and sun warm asphalt. Complex and fine.
The taste is still young and taut with notes of hard cherry candy, bakelite, dark flowers and lots of minerals. Very long with sturdy tannins. 8+ years. Really fine and promising.
