Just Popped - 2005 Henriot

Finally!! Last work day!! Now its time for four weeks vacation - and to celebrate I just popped a bottle of Champagne. I was really impressed by 2002 Henriot a while back, and I noticed that the state monopoly had the 2005, so off with the foil and slowly ease out the cork...

2005 Henriot
A fine, elegant, cool, lovely nose with notes of freshly baked bread, nuts, lemon fudge, vanilla cookies and the fresh scent of washed clothes that have dryed in the open air. A high, wonderful nose.
The taste is more restrained but also with a creamy feeling and notes of yellow apples, lemon peel, grass and lots of minerals. With air a smoky note appears. Very dry and fine. I´ll bet that this will get even better. Very, very good.
