On The Road - MV Les Aventures, AR Lenoble

Not a non vintage per se but rather a multi vintage, this beauty is opened at the south of Öland in Sweden, looking out over the ocean.
This version consist of the three great vintages - 1990, 1995 and 1996. There is only 10.000 bottles of each blend of Les Aventures and this was bottle number 8.440 and was degorged on the 24th of June 1997.

MV Les Aventures, AR Lenoble
The real thing. A mature, creamy, lovely nose with a beautiful depth and notes of white currants, dry bread, butterscotch, hay, buckthorne, lemon coulis and some cap gun smoke. This has elegance, structure, refinement and class. I get a desire to drink large mouthful of this, and wait a minute....I do just that.
The taste is cool, very elegant, focused and fresh with notes of hyacinth, lemon honey, candied lemon peel, lemon cream and some butter fried nuts. The acidity is high and cleansing. Really, really fine. And still on the young side. As great on day two as on day one.
