A Lunch Bottle - 2012 Pouilly-Fuissé, Domaine Georges Burrier

With some grilled fish for lunch I opened the new vintage of a favourite of mine in the 20 Euro range.

2012 Pouilly-Fuissé, Domaine Georges Burrier
A cool, fresh, open nose with notes of grape fruit, lemon cream, cotton candy and some gravel. When it warms up ripe melon notes emerge. Very good but not really in the league of the previous vintages.
The taste is cool and nice with notes of lemon cream, dried apricots, yellow apples and gravel. Young, tight and fine but again, not as good as previous vintages.
