Drinking Tonight - 2011 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, Beringer Vineyards

A day with snow - I thought that we were finished with that for the season - and visits to some local artists and gallery's. Coming back to our rented cottage I needed something to warm me through.

2011 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, Beringer Vineyards
This youngster has a lovely, deep, sweet nose of ripe black currants and notes of dark fudge, graphite, pine forest and some distant forest smoke. A very fine sweetness to the fruit. This is good.
The taste is tight yet with a fine creaminess, and notes of of black currants, blueberries, dark chocolate, bakelite and a touch of new oak. Long and fine. This is very good already but I guess it will be even better with 5+ years in the cellar.
