Drinking Tonight - 2010 Finca Malaveïna, Castillo Perelada

To go along some succulent spare ribs I opened this Spaniard. Info here.

2010 Finca Malaveïna, Castillo Perelada
This single vineyard wine, made out of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, sports a deep, spicy nose with notes of plums, varies peppers, warm blueberries, dark chocolate and scorched earth. Still young and rather primary. Needs a lot of air time.
The taste is young, compact and spicy with notes of blueberries, meat stock, plum pudding and chocolate. A lot of vigour. The finish is long and warm. This needs time to settle down a little. Some dusty tannins in the end of the finish. I loved their 2007 Ex Ex a few years back.
