2017 Dolcetto d´Alba Vigna Santo Stefano di Perno, Giuseppe Mascarello

2017 Dolcetto d´Alba Vigna Santo Stefano di Perno, Giuseppe Mascarello
After five days in Piedmont, what do you drink when you come home? A Dolcetto of course!
This Giuseppe Mascarello Dolcetto offers up a deep, interesting nose with notes of dried raspberries, salt minerals, moth balls, fir wood and assorted spices. Very, very good.
The taste is open and fruit forward with a very good mouthfeel and notes of red currants, dried strawberries, cement and herbs. Silky tannins and a very fine acidity. A great Dolcetto with a hint of maturity but will go on for 8+ years.
