Seven Pinots


Time again for our monthly tasting and this time H poured these seven Pinots. The grape was easy to identify but not the origin...

2014 Marsanny Les Grasse´s Têtes, Bruno Clair
A linear, spicy nose with nose with notes of red currants and some woody scents. 
The taste is nice and dry with a fine acidity and cool red fruit. Very good.

2012 Pinot Noir VV, Simon Maye
A warm, creamy nose with notes of dried flowers, ripe red fruit and forest floor. Very, very good.
The taste is tight and balanced with notes of dried raspberries, red currants and a fine acidity.

2014 Pinot Noir, Tatomer
A high, deep nose with notes of licorice, ripe strawberries, gravel and warm sand. Very fine.
The taste is layered and fine with a fine structure, sweet fruit and a long, delicate finish.

2014 Pinot Noir Cerise Vineyard, Knez Winery
A deep, fruity nose with notes of smoke, ripe raspberries, fir wood and undergrowth. Very good in a structured way.
The taste is nicely concentrated and rich with dried raspberries, gravel and smoke. A bit dusty in the finish.

2010 Cuvée Caroline, Diel
A deep, high, slightly mature nose with notes of ripe strawberries, cold coffee, licorice and root vegetables. Lovely.
The taste is round, racy and sweet with a crisp acidity and lots of warm, ripe red fruit. Very, very long and yummy.

2013 Pinot Noir Ama, Peay
A tight, seedy nose with notes of red currants, bakelite, violets and gravel. Somewhat restrained.
The taste is fresh and focused with a high acidity, silky tannins and lovely strawberry fruit. 5+ years.

2015 Nieder-Flörsheim Frauenberg Spätburgunder Trocken, Keller
A big, bold nose with notes of ripe raspberries, undergrowth, chocolate and fresh herbs. Very fine.
The taste is taut and structured with notes of raspberry cake, hard raspberry candy, licorice and warm sand. Very long. 4+ years.
