1997 Barbera d´Alba, Aldo Conterno
A large scaled, lively nose with notes of dried strawberries, Finnish licorice, fir smoke and freshly polished mahogany. Very, very good.
The taste is big and bold with notes of plums, smoke, earth and sugared coffee. A long, warm, dry finish. Drinking beautifully at age 27.
