Jacques opened these Chards at our last monthly tasting.
2017 Fort Ross Seaview, Chardonnay, Ramey
A cool, smoky nose with notes of butter biscuits, dried pineapple and grilled lemons. Very fine.
The taste is medium bodied with a nice warmth, ripe lemon fruit and a long, fresh finish.

2017 Chardonnay, Mount Eden
It is an ok bottle of Chard, but its not what Mount Eden usually represent, so I´m chalking this up as a slightly faulty bottle.
No rating (tasted 2025/10)
2017 La Carrière Chardonnay, Peter Michael
A large scaled, deep and beautiful nose with notes of lemon cream, ripe flowers, spices and cap gun smoke. Lovely.
The taste is spicy and salivating with notes of ripe peach, grilled lemons, chalk and a cleansing acidity. Great wine.
95p (tasted 2025/10)
2017 Chardonnay, Tara Atacama
A somewhat restrained nose with notes of black currant leaves, dried flowers and lemon zest.
The taste is steady with a good warmth, fine yellow fruit and a long, weighty finish.

2016 Las Pizarras Chardonnay, Errazuriz
A high, smoky nose with notes of yellow plums, yellow apples, chives and a fine earthy note.
The taste is tight and spicy with notes of tangerines, grapefruit and grass. Very, very good.

2020 Los Primos Chardonnay, D. O. Traiguén
A young, focused nose with notes of lemon caramel, roasting shellfish, birch leaves and ski wax. Very complex and interesting.
The taste is restrained and concentrated with a high acidity, crispy yellow fruit and a long, balanced finish. 4+ years.
