Beaumont des Crayères is a cooperative that consists of 250 growers that grow grapes on a total of 86 hectares. This is a zero dosage 100% Pinot Meunier cuvèe - an interesting concept.
The nose is young and gravelly with fine notes of elderberries, grass, oatmeal cookies and assorted herbs. A high, pure nose. Very, very good. On day two it takes on some green apple aromas. This is fine.
The taste is elegant and stony with notes of candied lemons, green apples, grass and flint. A long, caressing finish with a fine acidity. Day two, a little more restrained but the finish seems longer and even more harmonious. Very, very good. Would love to see how this evolve with some bottle age.
