2006 Chianti Rufina Riserva Vigneto Bucerchiale, Fattoria Selvapiana
2006 Chianti Rufina Riserva Vigneto Bucerchiale, Fattoria Selvapiana
This fine boned Sangiovese shows of a persistent, stony nose with notes of cool red cherries, rosemary, cigarette ash and violet pastilles. Very, very good. A tad restrained, but in a aristocratic, laid back kind of way. Demanding. Splendid.
The taste is young, tight and focused with notes of hard cherry candy, dried rosemary, Tuscan gravel and a touch of cocoa. A very fine framework. This has a great future ahead of itself, give it 3-5 years. Glad I have more.
