2004 Chianti Rufina Riserva Nippozano, Frescobaldi
Yet another fine Chianti Rufina. This displays a light, on-its-feet Sangiovese fruit with notes of sweet/sour cherries, violets, fresh tobacco aromas and some Tuscan gravel. A hint of maturity. Very good.
The taste is fine boned and seedy with notes of red cherries, dry liquorice, gravel and tobacco. A long, refreshing finish with a good acidity. A fine dryness at the end. Very, very good. For drinking now and the coming 5+ years.
