1989 Pommard 1er Cru Les Rugiens, F. Gaunoux
A deep, sweet, mature nose with notes of pipe tobacco, ripe strawberries, fried herbs and the delicate scent of an old worn Chesterfield sofa. Very fine. Perfect maturity.
The taste is silky and dry with notes of earth, dried strawberries, tobacco and red beet juice. A very fine acidity. Very long and refined. Much better than the bottle drunk
four years ago.
