2004 Barolo Pressenda, Abbona
Last tasted four years ago. On this night it displays a broad, outgoing nose with notes of ripe red cherries, rosehips en masse, tobacco and a forest with some animals decyaing under the autumn leaves. Very, very good.
The taste is rich and concentrated with notes of cherry licorice, red tea, sandelwood and forest floor. Long and fine. Nice mature features. A lovely drink now and the coming 8+ years.
