Birthday Baroli From The Greatest Vintage Ever

1964 Barolo, Luigi Moscone
A dry, earthy nose with notes of mushrooms, vintage leather and some smoky notes. A fine dried up warmth.
The taste is dry and mature with notes of red currants, coffee grounds and earth. A tad soft on the finish.
82p   (tasted 2025/12)

1964 Barolo, Massimo Prandi
A deep, sweet nose with notes of raspberries, red beets, Langhe earth and dry paint. Very fine.
The taste is perky and sweet with notes of ripe cherry fruit, licorice and dried flowers. Still very much alive.
90p   (tasted 2025/12)
