2012 Dogliani Superiore, San Fereole
A deep, somewhat mature nose with notes of damsons, dry blueberries, cured meat, rust and  bonfire smoke. Rustic. Very good.
The taste is restrained and foursquare with notes of Christmas spices, damsons, dried blueberries and iron. Very good but not a charmer. A tad to barnyardy and rustic for my delicate palate... 
I prefer the Dogliani´s from ChionettiAnna Maria Abbona, Pecchenino & Luigi Einaudi.
