2004 Kiedrich Gräfenberg Riesling Auslese, Weingut Robert Weil
A small sign of seepage, so this bottle had to be opened. Lucky me! A fantastic nose with gorgeous notes of ripe peach, saffron, apricots, detergents, wet asphalt and dried up lavender honey. Very, very deep.
The taste is brilliant with fruit, acidity and structure in alignment. Ripe tangerines and peaches. Lots of chalky notes. A long, long finish which ends semi dry. Great wine.
