2018 Old Garden Vineyard Mourvèdre, Hewitson
A tasty Mourvèdre from ungrafted vines planted in 1853. A deep, smoky nose with notes of ripe plums, Finnish licorice, violets, scorched earth and mosquito repellent. Very, very good in a upfront, juicy style.
The taste is forward and fine with notes of plums, pipe tobacco, shoe polish and bonfire smoke. Very well balanced at14%. Long.
