2018 Dolcetto d’Alba, Bartolo Mascarello
A very fine, open nose with notes of fresh blueberryfruit, iron, bakelite and assorted herbs. Very, very good. On day two it is a bit more withdrawn with notes of forest floor, thyme and dried red berries.
The taste is inky and elegant with notes of asphalt, ripe blueberries and sage. Juicy tannins. Very fine. The taste has the same perky impression and fine structure on day two. 5+ years.
