Vacation Wines - Number Twelve - 2013 Old Vine Zinfandel, Bedrock

The grill is on again and I needed something big to go with the tender meat. This one did.

2013 Old Vine Zinfandel, Bedrock
The nose is big and outgoing with gorgeous notes of chrushed blackberries, plums, red liquorice and bonfire scents. A very good structure underneath the luscious fruit. Some fine pipe tobacco aromas after a while. Very, very good.
The taste is big and seedy with lots of character and notes of ripe blue- and blackberries, sweet rosemary, tobacco and charcoal. There is a hint of toothpaste in the long, long, warm finish. It is almost impossible not to drink large sips of this. Loving it!
