Drinking Tonight - 1982 Château La Gravière

1982 Château La Gravière
Madame Cascarret has fashioned a really fine Bordeaux from this great year. The nose jumps out of the glass with lots of dried plums, pipe tobacco, autumn leaves and the just right amount of horse feces in a distance. A very fine dried up sweetness. Round and perfumed. A perfect maturity.
The taste is medium bodied, mature and velvety with notes of dried black currants, dry tobacco, black tea and dirt. The finish is a tad on the dry side, but some grilled veal sausages removes all dry features. Drinking great tonight, but any remaining bottles should be consumed soon.
