Vacation Wines - Number Two - 2000 Chianti Classico, Casanuova di Nittardi

First day - some Italian delicatessen - and of course a bottle of Italian wine.

2000 Chianti Classico, Casanuova di Nittardi
A cool, somewhat mature nose with notes of ripe red and black cherries, black olives, liquorice and bonfire scents. Very, very good. A fine maturity.
The taste is medium bodied with a fine maturity and notes of black cherries, chocolate biscuits, liquorice and an Italian gravel road. Dry and delicious.
