1999 Perlato del Bosco, Tua Rita
This 100% Sangiovese shows of a deep, maturing nose with notes of black cherries, graphite, ripe flowers and dark spices. A fine sweetness to the fruit. Some lead pencil aromas after a while. Aking more to a Cabernet than a Sangiovese on the nose. Very, very good.
The taste is structured and sandy with notes of black cherries, fennel seeds, licorice and rosemary. Much more Sangiovese character on the palate. Long, warm and intense with a fine maturity. Very fine.
